Apple’s Universal Control for macOS Monterey delayed till Spring 2022

During its annual WWDC conference this year, Apple had announced several features, one of which had been Universal Control for its new version of macOS – macOS Monterey, as well as iPadOS 15. Universal Control was slated to let users use their Mac’s mouse or trackpad to control the cursor on an iPad or another Mac’s screen, reaching into and across multiple devices. This would allow users to effortlessly work across several screens and Apple products wirelessly. Earlier this month, Apple released the macOS 12.1 beta 4 for developers and public testers, which led many to hope that the Universal Control feature, which had been conspicuously absent during the beta testing and on iPadOS 15, would be arriving soon. iOS 15 rolls out to general public

Announced during WWDC earlier this year, iOS 15 is now available to download. However, this time around, the launch is different as it will not be mandatory for people to upgrade from iOS 14 – you will be able to continue using iOS 14 if you do not wish to use iOS 15. Why is that so? Well, iOS 15 is missing features such as SharePlay, Universal Control, Find My AirPods, 3D Maps CarPlay Navigation, App Privacy Report, and others. However, inspite of this, the new OS still sports several interesting new additions. One of them is giving users the ability to change their Focus from Control Center. Additionally, you can create more than one Focus – a separate one for different activities such as work, sleep, driving, reading, personal time, gaming, fitness, and mindfulness.
